What did you guys think of that? I loved it.
That was, in my opinion, better than a lot of the main event PLE’s over the last few years. Just two dudes at their peak battling it out lol. You can tell they agreed to just go all in for this one and it showed. Cody’s jump from the stands onto drew was wicked and so unexpected. That guy FELL. This is the type of match I love. It had all of the pageantry and still felt genuine and “real”.
I’ve been getting a little tiny bit down on WWE over the past few weeks with how “unreal” a lot of the matches have been feeling. Iyo Sky’s trash can jump was definitely impressive, but even my 7 year old was like “Why were they just standing there? Thats kind of weird”.
Anyways, great match. Nice to see a huge title change on a weekday show. I was definitely just assuming Drew would lose once again but I love how this sets up the rest of the year.
I’ll give the match a 9/10.
